Workshop 2 is co-organised by ORO as a co-chair of the 5G PPP Software Networking WG. SliceNet will present two papers during workshop 2:

  1. “SliceNet Programmable Data Plane Control in 5G Network Slicing”, led by University of the West of Scotland and delivered by Pablo Salva-Garcia
  2. “Deploying Smart City components for 5G network slicing” a joint SliceNet – MATILDA paper produced and led by Orange and delivered by Cristian Patachia/Marius Iordache.

Workshop 7 – Session 1

ThC6: Workshop 7 “Artificial Intelligence for 5G Networks”

SliceNet are hosting a joint workshop with ENI and MoNArch. Chaired by Anastasius Gavras (Eurescom GmbH, Germany) and organised by Anastasius Gavras and Jose M. Alcaraz Calero (University of the West of Scotland, UK), this workshop discusses 5G-PPP research activities. It aims to bridge the gap between research and standards on AI for network management and orchestration.

SliceNet will present two papers during workshop 7:

  1. “A QoE-oriented Cognition-based Management System for 5G Slices: The SliceNet Approach”, Salvatore Spadaro, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
  2. “Self-Restoring Video User Experience in 5G Networks Based on a Cognitive Network Management Framework”, Jose Alcaraz-Calero/Qi Wang, University of the West of Scotland.
